Computer Mis-use Act

There are many ways you can mis-use your computer, because computers are being mis-used frequently the parliament has started a project called “The Computer Mis-use Act” and have created 3 new offences to persuade people to use their computers correctly. These new offences are;
1)      Accessing computer material without permission, eg looking at someone else’s files.
2)      Accessing computer material without permission with intent to commit further criminal offences, eg hacking into the bank’s computer and wanting to increase the amount in your account.
3)      Altering computer data without permission, eg writing a virus to destroy someone else’s data, or actually changing the money in another account.
Other mis-use of computers and communication systems come in several different forms;
1)      Hacking
2)      Unauthorised transferring and copying
3)      Copying and distributing copyrighted software
4)      Email and chat room abuses
5)      Pornography
6)      Identity and financial abuse
7)      Writing viruses
To prevent some of these issues the parliament and the government;
1)      Has created a copyright law that provides protection for the copyright owners covering the copying of written, musical or film work on computers.
2)      Have closed down some chat rooms where children are vulnerable to put a stop to internet abuse.
3)      Reduce email spamming by telling people to not reply to anonymous emails, set filters on their email accounts, report spammers to ISPs because they are making a blacklist for email abusers and passing laws to punish persistent spammers with heavy fines.

participant reviews

Amber
Amber said she likes it because it’s funny, there’s humour in it and she likes the way it’s been edited and she thinks it’s funny because of what was said.

Ben
Ben said he likes the idea of the video and that a lot of the funny stuff that was said wasn’t edited out there for it was more entertaining.

Keiran
I think that the video is very professional looking video. It looks like an official job interview has been filmed by a hidden camera. Very Good.

video project review

Video project review.
I think I’ve done alright in this project, there are a few things like the quality, lighting and locations I think I could’ve improved on because the image was a little blurry, the lighting was poor and the conference room where we filmed was a little cramped but I like my video and I’m happy that it’s over and done with.
What went well was that we actually found a good interview location which was in the conference room, I was planning to do it A101 that’s the room next to us but the visual arts people were using it as they do all the time so we had to look for somewhere else. There were also less outtakes in the real one because we all knew what it was we had to do this time whereas in the practice shoot we weren’t very organised so we screwed up and got 12 takes of rubbish.
What didn’t go very well was the laughing and pausing between the questions and ben making amber laugh while she had a mouthful of coke and making her spit it everywhere, “thanks ben” so next time I don’t think I would have food in the interview room because it’s too distracting. There was also the problem in the interview room about the grass cutter guy outside making a lot of noise and making ben and amber laugh and the fact that the teacher next door to us had to keep walking through to talk to this grass cutter man but luckily that didn’t really get in the way it was the noise that was the problem. Although I didn’t like the idea that amber was pretending she was pregnant I went through with it anyway because I thought it might add a bit of comedy to the video.
So thanks to the people who took part J

the good and bad of our practice interview

me Amber, Kieran and Ben went into miss coopers room in the art department and ended up coming out with like 10 minutes worth of absolute random stuff but in the end at take 13 we got it right.
i think this was the fifth take and the subject somehow changed from my topic of video games, flash games and cartoons to horses and we didn't bother about cutting the scene for a while so we had about 5 minutes of Ben asking amber about horses.
then in another take we had Ben and amber staring at each other for ages before asking the questions and later in that scene they both started laughing.
take 13 was the lucky take when we finally got it right and Ben didn't run out the door shouting "the avengers need me!". ????
what went wrong was the topic changing to horses which in the end i just gave Ben a list of questions for him to read from and told him to try to stay on topic this time, and i don't think amber and spinney chairs are a good idea either because even on take 13 we had amber scooting off on the spinney chair and Ben walking out leaving his guest.
what went well was take 13 in total and i think kieran makes a very good camera man, he also helped by sharing his ideas.
so thanks to the people who took part :)

what i'm going to need

1) questions: what makes the funniest cartoon animation? what makes the best cartoon animation? what makes the most awesome game? whats your favorite flash game? whats the name of your favorite cartoon animation?
2) sentence about audience: my interview shall be available to all ages it could give them ideas for the future and could be useful to film and game companies because of the topic questions.
3) location: a quiet room with chairs and tables.
4) equipment list: video camera, lead, battery, computer, adobe premiere, tripod, microphone.

rules: no swearing. no nudity. because if my interview is open to all ages it could teach little kids to swear and be rude.

F.t. interviews video project risk assessment.

F.t. interviews video project risk assessment.
Problems and solutions.
1)    Actors getting embarrassed and pausing (when editing video cut those parts out or re-take the scene).
2)    Actors laughing during filming (re-take the scene).
3)    Unwanted noises in the surrounding area (move somewhere quiet).
4)    People walking past and getting in the way of filming (record the scene somewhere that’s least likely for anyone to be there or need to go there).
5)    The camera could run out of battery when filming (come back and get a new battery or if there aren’t any more batteries available put battery on charge and wait).
6)    Battery charging delaying the project so no one has anything to do but sit around and wait (find something useful to do like helping someone else complete their project while waiting for the battery to charge).
7)    Actors not having an answer to the interview question (ask someone else and give the actor time to think of an answer).
8)    Actor changing their mind and not wanting to take part (ask someone else to take part).
9)    If no one else wants to take part (combine plan A with plan B and ask two interview questions to fill the needed time with the remaining actors).

Aviva Project review

Aviva Project review

I think I done well creating the PowerPoint for the group apart from the spelling errors whenever I tried to spell pacman.
Another strength would be I was able to speak although I was scared to, a weakness would be that I couldn’t stop pausing and I kept forgetting the words I was suppost to say.
Also another weakness would be the fact that I through most of the presentation I was facing the other way which now I regret because it was embarrassing that I didn’t have enough confidence to actually face the audience.

Over all I don’t think I did very well because all I did was complain and pause when trying to speak, and at some points I just couldn’t be bothered doing anything. I think the only reason I managed to complete this project was because I was continuously trying to get the easiest job to me, like when I was writing the individual jobs for each of my team members picking out the stop motion pro part which was just pressing a button when told. I do think I let the group down a bit and for that I hope I don’t have to take part in another presentation like this one because I don’t want it to go wrong again because in this presentation my group came last.

I think as a group we could have done better by deciding before hand who was saying what and when, we didn’t do that so we kind of had each of us speaking at random which probably ruined it as well. Also the things to improve would be speaking clearly without pausing, I honestly thought I could manage that but obviously not. I truthfully don’t want to do another presentation again but I do think this project has helped to improve my confidence.

btec aviva project

Just recently Aviva has started a project of saving money, Aviva are aiming this new way of saving money to young adults and teenagers so that they learn how to save money in the future and so that they know a lot more ways to save money as they grow older.

Guaranteed Selection

Our Guaranteed Selection is designed to appeal to a broad range of investors. The Guaranteed Selection provides prospects for growth along with built-in guarantees that protect a defined level of your original investment on its fifth anniversary.
The value of your investment can go down as well as up and you may get back less than the guaranteed amount if you withdraw your money at any other time.
Whether your approach to investing is very cautious, or if you are willing to accept some risk, we are confident that our three carefully balanced funds have something to offer you.

Investment ISA

The Aviva Investors Investment ISA is a stocks and shares ISA that gives you the potential for higher returns than a cash ISA.
  • Puts your money into funds that invest in stocks, shares and property
  • You balance the higher risk with the potential for higher returns
  • And offers a tax-efficient way of investing over the longer term
  • Remember, investment values can go down as well as up and you may get back less than your original investment.

What attracts people to the investments isa is the possibility of getting back more money that you originally invested, also they offer a tax efficient way and this helps you save money.

Investment Bond

Portfolio from Aviva is an investment bond that allows you to invest a single lump sum:
  • Designed for long-term investment
  • It aims to provide either capital growth, an income or both
  • There is a wide range of funds available for you to choose to invest in
  • Remember, investment values can go down as well as up and you might get back less than you paid in.

What attracts people to the investment bond is that it’s a long-term investment so if you have more money than you can fit in your purse then you can store it for a longer time in a bank where you can collect it whenever you need it. There is also a wider range of funds available for you to choose.
The Aviva brand image was designed to look happy and cheerful and to attract the attention of others, the reason for this is that the better the icon looks the more people are most likely going to go to Aviva to save money instead of another different money saving site.

Banks across the world try and divert your attention over to them by offering interests, pensions and they also let you borrow money until your next payday. People find these offers usefull and more people go to that bank for those offers.
